Free Travel on Orange Line and Metro Buses in Punjab
Punjab’s new initiative offers free travel on Orange Line and Metro Bus for people with disabilities, supporting accessible commuting through the Himmat Card.
Lahore: The Punjab government has launched a special initiative allowing individuals with disabilities to travel free of charge on the Orange Line Train and Metro Bus services. This new policy aims to ease travel for people with disabilities and improve accessibility in public transport.
According to a Metro Bus Authority spokesperson, passengers who hold a “Himmat Card” are eligible for this free travel benefit. To avail this, Himmat Card holders simply need to present their card at the ticket counter.
This free service will be available every day, making daily commutes more convenient for those with disabilities. The Himmat Card, provided by the government, offers multiple support services for individuals with disabilities, including this provision for free travel.
