Hania Aamir Speaks Out on Abrupt Departure from Dallas Meet-and-Greet

The recent meet-and-greet event featuring Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in Dallas took an unexpected turn, leaving fans disappointed as the star exited early. Aamir later addressed the situation in a detailed Instagram story, explaining the circumstances that forced her to leave the event.

Aamir revealed that the event’s abrupt end was prompted by an incident involving verbal abuse directed at her and her manager, Maida Azmat, by one of the organizers. She emphasized her respect and love for fans and expressed regret that the evening ended on such a note.

“Everyone saw videos of me walking into the crowd and taking pictures. Everything was going fine until I heard one of the organizers verbally abusing my manager,” Aamir shared on Instagram. “I approached him and told him that he cannot speak to her like this. My manager, visibly distraught, went backstage, and I followed to ensure she was okay. Fahad Mustafa, being the gentleman he is, also came to check on her.”

Despite the actors’ attempts to continue engaging with fans backstage, Aamir said the same organizer escalated the situation further. She alleged that he verbally assaulted them again, canceled the security protocols, and demanded they leave the venue.

“[He] verbally assaulted us even more (people had to hold him back). We were rushed out by our promoter, Arif Khan, to avoid further escalation, and we secured private transport to return to our hotel safely,” Aamir recounted.

The Mere Humsafar star called for greater accountability among event organizers and condemned the disrespectful behavior. She noted that such incidents highlight the challenges women face in male-dominated industries, adding that no one has the right to mistreat another person, regardless of their position.

Aamir also addressed the media, urging outlets to practice responsible journalism and refrain from spreading baseless allegations against artists. She concluded her statement with an apology to fans who had attended the event, expressing her heartfelt gratitude for their unwavering love and support.

Following her statement, Aamir received overwhelming support from fellow actors, musicians, and media personalities.

Actor Yashma Gill praised Aamir and Azmat for their professionalism and bravery, emphasizing that disrespect has no place in any industry. Maya Ali echoed these sentiments, calling Aamir’s handling of the situation graceful and expressing disappointment at the lack of respect shown by some individuals.

Popular influencer Umer Khan (Ukhano) stated, “No one should have the right to disrespect our stars. Hania Aamir’s dedication to her fans and craft is why she is Asia’s most influential artist.” He urged the community to boycott such promoters.

Actor Azaan Sami Khan called it unfortunate that artists are often blamed without full context, while filmmaker Nabeel Qureshi criticized the actions of event promoters, highlighting the recurring pattern of artists and fans suffering due to mismanagement.

Radio personality Anoushey Ashraf remarked that disrespect towards women, especially those in the media, reflects poorly on the perpetrator’s upbringing and mindset. Meanwhile, Namreen Khan and Hira Khan stressed the need to protect artists from undue blame and mistreatment.

Despite the overwhelming support from her peers, Fahad Mustafa, Aamir’s Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum co-star, has yet to comment on the incident.
