Over 77 Dead and Dozens Missing Following Israeli Strikes in Northern Gaza
An Israeli airstrike in Beit Lahiya, Gaza, has killed at least 93 Palestinians, including children, and injured many, as world leaders condemn Israel’s actions. The violence has escalated, resulting in significant casualties in both Gaza and Lebanon, with over 43,000 deaths reported in Gaza since October 7, 2023.
An Israeli air strike has destroyed a five-story residential building housing displaced families in Beit Lahiya, Gaza, resulting in the deaths of at least 93 Palestinians, including children, and injuring many others.
Hezbollah announced that Naim Qassem will succeed the late Hassan Nasrallah as the group’s secretary-general. World leaders have strongly condemned Israel’s ban on the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), calling it “intolerable,” “illegal,” and “amounting to collective punishment.”
Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health reported that at least 60 individuals were killed in Israeli strikes on eastern Lebanon, marking the deadliest day for the region since the recent escalation between Israel and Hezbollah.
Since October 7, 2023, in Gaza, approximately 43,020 people have been killed and 101,110 injured in Israeli attacks, while an estimated 1,139 individuals were killed in Israel in attacks led by Hamas, with over 200 people taken captive. In Lebanon, at least 2,710 people, including 127 children, have lost their lives, with 12,592 wounded as a result of Israeli attacks since the beginning of the Gaza conflict.
