Afridi's exceptional bowling figures of eight wickets in three matches at an average of 12.62 propelled him to the number-one position. This achievement marks his second stint at the top of the rankings, having previously held the position during the 2023 ICC ODI World Cup.
Pakistan's dominance extends beyond bowling, as Babar Azam continues to reign supreme in the batting rankings. His consistent performances in the Australian series, including a match-winning boundary in the final ODI, solidified his position at the top.
Haris Rauf, who was awarded Player of the Series for his outstanding bowling performance, experienced a significant jump of 14 places to reach the 13th spot in the bowling rankings. Naseem Shah also made notable progress, climbing 14 places to the 55th position.
This series win has not only boosted Pakistan's confidence but has also elevated their position in the ICC ODI Rankings. With a strong core of talented players, Pakistan is poised to continue its upward trajectory in international cricket.
