Lucky Motor Corporation (LMC) has officially launched the 5th Generation Kia Sportage L (Long Wheelbase), further expanding its lineup in Pakistan’s automotive market.
KARACHI: Lucky Motor Corporation (LMC) has officially launched the 5th Generation Kia Sportage L (Long Wheelbase), further expanding its lineup in Pakistan’s automotive market.
During the unveiling event on Wednesday, LMC Chief Executive Muhammad Faisal highlighted the company’s commitment to the automotive sector, stating that LMC has invested over $250 million in its operations.
Since the launch of Completely Knocked Down (CKD) operations, Kia has delivered over 72,000 units in Pakistan within 5.5 years, with 40,000+ units of Sportage alone making their way to customers.
Faisal also revealed that 35% of Sportage's parts are locally produced at LMC’s in-house manufacturing facility, including essential components such as wire harnesses, air conditioning systems, seats, and plastic injection moulding.
This localization effort not only strengthens Pakistan’s automobile manufacturing industry but also reinforces LMC’s commitment to expanding local production and technological advancements in the sector.
