Mbappe's Hat-Trick Seals Real Madrid's Dominant Win Over Valladolid

VALLADOLID, Spain: Kylian Mbappe scored his first hat-trick for Real Madrid as the reigning LaLiga champions cruised to a 3-0 victory over bottom-placed Real Valladolid on Saturday, extending their lead at the top of the table.

Mbappe opened the scoring in the 30th minute with a brilliant one-two with Jude Bellingham, timing his run perfectly to beat the offside trap and finish clinically past goalkeeper Karl Hein.

In the second half, Mbappe doubled Real's lead in the 56th minute, finishing a rapid counterattack with a curling low shot into the far corner, assisted by Rodrygo. He completed his hat-trick in added time with a penalty, awarded after Mario Martin was sent off for a reckless tackle on Bellingham.

The victory puts Real Madrid firmly at the top of the standings with 49 points, four ahead of Atletico Madrid, who were held to a 1-1 draw by Villarreal. Barcelona and Athletic Bilbao remain nine points behind, each with a game in hand.

"Happy for the hat-trick but more for the win," Mbappe told Real Madrid TV. "After Atletico’s draw, it was crucial to capitalize. We played collectively for the first goal, and though the second half could have been better, we managed to close the game."

Despite dominating possession (70%), Carlo Ancelotti’s side had a quiet night offensively, creating only four shots on target. However, Mbappe’s red-hot form continues to carry the team, with 15 LaLiga goals this season, just one behind Barcelona’s Robert Lewandowski in the race for the Golden Boot.
