Indian Cricket Team Continues Its Dominance with Back-to-Back ICC Titles
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a staggering INR 58 crore ($6.72 million) cash reward for Team India after their victorious campaign in the Champions Trophy 2025. This grand gesture celebrates India’s relentless dominance in global cricket, having secured their second consecutive ICC title in just over a year.
On March 9, 2025, India showcased their exceptional cricketing prowess by defeating New Zealand by four wickets in a high-stakes Champions Trophy final in Dubai. This triumph followed their 2024 ICC T20 World Cup victory, marking one of the most remarkable periods in India’s cricketing history.
BCCI Recognizes Excellence with Historic Prize Announcement
The BCCI President, Roger Binny, expressed immense pride in Team India's continued success, emphasizing the significance of this back-to-back ICC title achievement.
"Winning back-to-back ICC titles is a moment of great pride for the nation, and this reward is a recognition of the hard work, dedication, and excellence demonstrated by Team India on the world stage. This victory is also a testament to the strength of India's cricketing ecosystem, which has consistently produced world-class players across all formats."
The Champions Trophy victory wasn’t India’s only ICC triumph in 2025. Earlier in the year, the Indian U-19 Women’s team clinched the ICC U19 Women’s World Cup, further highlighting India's robust grassroots and developmental structure in cricket.

India’s Unstoppable ICC Dominance
India's triumphant Champions Trophy campaign was part of a historic run in ICC tournaments. Over the last three ICC men’s limited-overs events, India won 23 out of 24 completed matches, with their only defeat being the 2023 ODI World Cup final against Australia.
Since then, India has remained unbeaten in both the 2024 ICC T20 World Cup and the 2025 Champions Trophy, proving their supremacy in white-ball cricket.
India’s Record in ICC Tournaments (Last 3 Events):
✅ 2023 ODI World Cup – Finalists (10-match winning streak before the final)
✅ 2024 T20 World Cup – Champions (Unbeaten campaign)
✅ 2025 Champions Trophy – Champions (Unbeaten campaign)
With this extraordinary track record, India has solidified its position as the most dominant team in world cricket.
What’s Next for Team India?
With two ICC titles in the bag within a year, India is now focused on maintaining its winning momentum in upcoming bilateral series and global tournaments. The next challenge is to continue their dominance across all formats, including the Test Championship and ODI fixtures.
With a strong squad, seasoned leadership under Rohit Sharma, and the emergence of young talent, India looks poised for continued global dominance.
