Get ready to swing back into the past. Sam Raimi’s iconic Spider-Man trilogy is set to return to theaters for a limited-time event this fall, giving fans the chance to relive the web-slinging action that helped shape modern superhero cinema.

The trilogy starring Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker will play across three days from September 26 to 28, with encore screenings planned for October 3 to 5, Fathom Entertainment confirmed.

The theatrical event kicks off on September 26 with the original Spider-Man (2002), followed on September 27 by a major fan-favorite surprise: the theatrical debut of Spider-Man 2.1new 4K extended cut of Spider-Man 2, featuring deleted and extended scenes never before seen on the big screen. The trilogy concludes on September 28 with Spider-Man 3.

“The success of Spider-Man in 2002 helped launch the modern era of superhero films,” said Fathom CEO Ray Nutt. “Tobey Maguire’s take on Spider-Man still resonates across generations. This 4K debut of Spider-Man 2.1 is a true gift for longtime fans and a thrilling discovery for new ones.”

What’s New in Spider-Man 2.1?

Originally released on DVD in 2007, Spider-Man 2.1 added nearly 8 minutes of additional footage, including extended action sequences and character moments all of which will now be shown in full 4K resolution for the first time in theaters.

This rerelease joins a string of successful classic film events from Fathom, including recent showings of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and upcoming plans for Clueless, Rocky IV, The Sound of Music, and One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.

Tickets go on sale July 25 through Fathom’s website and participating theater chains.
