Speaking as the Chief Guest at the Kashmir Press Club in Mirpur, Dr. Kamal led a 28-member delegation of PFUJ (W), including Islamabad-based journalists from national print and electronic media.
Dr. Kamal highlighted that Kashmir is an unresolved, internationally recognized dispute that must be settled in accordance with United Nations resolutions to ensure the right to self-determination for the people of Jammu and Kashmir. She reiterated the commitment of Pakistani journalists to support Kashmiris in their just struggle for self-determination, using the power of their intellect and pen.
The event also saw key figures from the Kashmir Press Club, including newly elected President Syed Abid Hussain Shah, Secretary General Raja Sohrab Ahmed Khan, and other senior journalists. They all expressed their resolve to promote healthy and quality journalism, both in Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), emphasizing its importance in the current age for the greater national interest.
