On Wednesday, a senior Levies officer's vehicle was targeted in an explosion in Qila Abdullah Bazaar. An improvised explosive device (IED) was planted near the vehicle, which was parked outside the Nadra office. The device was remotely detonated, causing significant damage to the vehicle and nearby properties.
No Casualties Reported
Thankfully, no casualties were reported as the officer had left the vehicle just minutes before the blast. However, the explosion caused extensive damage to the vehicle and shattered windowpanes of nearby shops.
Security Response
Following the explosion, personnel from Levies, FC, and police arrived promptly at the scene. A search operation was launched to apprehend those responsible for the attack.
