Natasha Danish acquitted in Karachi’s Karsaz accident case
Natasha Danish, the driver acquitted in the Karsaz Road accident that killed a man and his daughter, received forgiveness from the victims' family, leading to a court decision based on their reconciliation agreement.
KARACHI: Natasha Danish, the driver involved in a fatal accident on Karsaz Road that claimed the lives of a man and his daughter in August, has been acquitted by a sessions court after the victims' family pardoned her.
The court's decision came after both parties submitted a reconciliation agreement, according to reports on Thursday. The tragic incident occurred on August 19, when Natasha’s Land Cruiser collided with three motorcycles and a car before overturning, leading to the deaths of 60-year-old Imran Arif and his 22-year-old daughter Amna, along with injuries to three others. Natasha was subsequently arrested and detained.
Following the accident, police launched an investigation, also naming her husband, Danish Iqbal, as a suspect. He was later granted a protective pre-arrest bail by the Sindh High Court.
In September, Imran Arif’s surviving children submitted affidavits stating that they had forgiven Natasha, "for the sake of Allah," and confirmed the resolution of the matter. Their affidavits declared the pardon was given without any external pressure, as part of the reconciliation.
