A Milestone Event Strengthening Trade and Investment Ties with Saudi Arabia

JEDDAH: Pakistan marked a historic milestone by hosting its first-ever single-country trade exhibition, ‘Made in Pakistan’, inaugurated by Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The exhibition features 137 leading Pakistani companies across diverse industries, showcasing the country’s export potential and investment opportunities.

The event serves as a strategic platform to strengthen economic relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, highlighting key sectors such as textiles, sports goods, food, construction materials, and light engineering.



Pakistan-Saudi Arabia Trade & Investment Collaboration

Addressing an esteemed gathering of Saudi officials, business leaders, and diplomats, Jam Kamal Khan emphasized the growing industrial strength of Pakistan and the mutual benefits of enhanced trade partnerships. He acknowledged Saudi Arabia’s support in making the expo a success and emphasized the role of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) in facilitating Saudi investments in food security, energy, mining, and human resource development in Pakistan.

He further highlighted the significant contributions of the 2.7 million-strong Pakistani diaspora in Saudi Arabia, calling them the cornerstone of bilateral ties. With 1.7 million Pakistani workers migrating to Saudi Arabia in the last five years, he urged collaborative efforts in skill development to enhance employment prospects for Pakistani professionals and laborers in the Kingdom.

Pakistan’s Role in FIFA 2034 & Global Market Expansion

Acknowledging Saudi Arabia’s successful bid to host the FIFA 2034 World Cup, Jam Kamal Khan celebrated Pakistan’s legacy in football manufacturing, noting that Pakistani-made footballs have long been a part of FIFA’s history, including official match balls like Brazuca, Telstar, and Al-Rihla. He expressed confidence that Pakistan would continue to supply official FIFA match balls for the 2034 tournament.

Additionally, the minister encouraged Pakistani and Saudi businesses to explore joint ventures targeting emerging markets in Africa, Central Asia, and the Far East, leveraging Pakistan’s expertise in various sectors.
