A complete shutdown was observed in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan, on Tuesday in protest against the kidnapping of an 11-year-old student. Despite five days since the incident, authorities have been unable to trace the child's whereabouts.

The strike, organized by the sit-in committee and supported by traders' associations, garnered backing from various political parties and the business community. Consequently, major markets, bazaars, shopping centers, and business hubs remained closed for the day. Traffic on the streets was minimal, with most residents avoiding travel. However, the shutdown and roadblocks created significant challenges for students and government employees.

The boy’s father, Haji Raz Mohammad, voiced his anguish at the Balochistan High Court and refuted rumors of any communication with the kidnappers.
